Founded by Clara Gaggero Westaway and Adrian Westaway, the company combines the principles of user-centric design, an unfettered understanding of technological possibility and the gleeful surprise of a magician’s performance to create products and inventions that delight the user and radiate positivity. As befits its name, Special Projects works on many confidential initiatives for international brands such as Google, Samsung and P&G, and has earned multiple design awards for its digital/physical crossover projects including Lego-based time-management tool, Bit Planner; interactive smartphone manuals for the elderly; and empathetic, Red Dot-winning weighing scales. The rest of Adrian and Clara’s time is spent mentoring, teaching, lecturing in design and magic, and generally inspiring anyone who comes within 10 feet of them.

WHAT WE DID FOR Special Projects
We knew we were going to love working with Special Projects the moment we stepped into their Spitalfields office – even if it meant accepting the tricky position of not being allowed to talk about 80% of what they do. Zetteler helped Adrian and Clara create and manage their publicity strategy, and continues to maintain a close relationship with them both.
