Where do you turn when you want to do Christmas differently? Why, Camille Wallala-wards of course.
Back in July (or as it feels to us, last week), Team Zetteler were in Clerkenwell London, pre-celebrating Christmas and getting a sneak preview of the store/restaurant/gallery/design space/frustratingly unclassifiable venue’s plans for the festive season. And those plans mainly involved being the most vibrant place to be this winter.

As one of London’s most beloved graphic artists right now, Camille can do vibrant with one arm tied behind her back and a bag over her head (she doesn’t though, you’ll be relieved to hear), so when it came to creating the underlying theme for Clerkenwell London’s Christmas, she was the obvious choice (helped by the fact she did a frankly glorious job of their Vinyl Lounge for Design Undefined at LDF this year).

Together, Camille and Clerkenwell London have chucked the festive decor rulebook out of the window, ditching the green and red clichés for a tropically tinted blue and orange combo and creating a striking geometric motif inspired on the brand’s map-based symbol. As well as dominating the front room of the retail space, Camille’s pattern features on Clerkenwell London’s signature wrapping paper, Christmas decorations and unique, sweet-stuffed crackers (available to buy in store from 19 December).
Christmas comes to Clerkenwell officially on 14 November, kicking off a six-week Walala-backdropped extravaganza of gift browsing, seasonal dining and craft workshops (ever wanted to make your own piñata or seed catapult? Here’s your chance).
