ArtHouse Jersey sits at the heart of the island’s creative scene. Based in a 19th-century former barracks on the rugged northern coast, the organisation works with Jersey-based and international artists to inspire and serve the island’s community. ArtHouse Jersey’s output spans a range of disciplines and activities including exhibitions, performances, events and an extensive community outreach programme. In support of its aims, ArtHouse Jersey provides opportunities to artists, investing in the creation of new work through grants, commissions, and residencies. The organisation also seeks to support the development of the Island’s creative sector through free professional guidance and a range of networking and promotional opportunities for artists. As a charity, ArtHouse Jersey is driven by the conviction that creativity is integral to a strong society, and that art has the power to change lives.
Zetteler is excited to be helping the Arthouse Jersey team by sharing its pioneering initiatives with audiences across the Channel, championing its 2021 programme and the practices of the artists it supports, and elevating the profile of the island’s creative culture as a whole.
We have a tonne of exciting projects in early 2021 to tell you about.
For many people, it might seem little more than a tax haven with good potatoes, but beyond the stereotypes, Jersey has a thriving creative culture. And ArtHouse Jersey are here to prove it.
