Award-winning, community-driven culture heroes Beyond the Box is a social enterprise that works with communities to pull off ambitious grassroots projects across the UK. Where others pay lip service to accessibility and representation, Beyond the Box’s work goes deeper, and includes collaborations with an array of impressive architectural studios, the City of London and numerous local councils, British Land, Brent Biennial and more. Driven by principles of equity and accountability, the Beyond the Box team co-create cultural projects with local people to make a meaningful impact on communities, designing for legacy from the outset, and enabling participants to guide the project's outcome at every step. The recent People’s Pavilion Festival is a case in point. They supported a group of 14–18-year-olds to design and build their own temporary pavilion by Lea Bridge Library in London, encouraging these young Londoners to become the next generation of placemakers while also inviting the wider community to take part through free public events.
When someone says they’re working to help communities take space, our response is ‘how can we help?’ Impressed by their vision of creativity as a tool for good, and their total commitment to collaboration at every stage of the process, team Zetteler is here to help Beyond the Box communicate and connect.
