Established in early 2018 by seasoned placemaker and cultural programmer Vickie Hayward, Company, Place provides arts and cultural strategies, and curatorial and commissioning services for shared public spaces. The studio focuses on experimental and interdisciplinary arts projects that help places and brands to meaningfully engage with their audiences and environment. Company, Place takes a material-first approach to projects, often focusing on hyper-local materials, processes and production methods. It provides support for artists, architects and designers to develop and expand their practices, while exploring alternative ways in which clients can co-commission and design shared spaces with their community. Vickie and her team have previously worked on arts-rooted placemaking strategies and cultural projects with the likes of Ace Hotels, King’s Cross, Thamesmead Waterfront, Aberfeldy Village and Oxford University Development.
Company, Place’s work is primarily rooted in the art of connection – enabling the partnerships and collaborations that help great things happen in amazing spaces. It’s inspiring – but often invisible – work, so Zetteler is striving to amplify the game-changing contribution Vickie and her team are making to the culture of the brands they work with – and the fabric of the cities we live in.
