Founded by the lawyer Morag Ofili, Kiltered is a diversity and inclusion consultancy established to help leadership teams positively transform their workplace culture by developing behaviours and systems that nurture internal change. Noting that many businesses regard mandatory D&I training negatively – as either something to be wary of or a hoop-jumping exercise on a par with health and safety compliance – Morag has created a service that presents inclusion as an opportunity to be seized rather than a problem to be overcome. Focusing on SMEs in all sectors, Kiltered’s service begins with a process of consultation, data gathering and analysis, exploring aspects of business such as staff acquisition and retention, employee perception and other organisational data. This is translated into a bespoke strategy that recommends steps towards change, with check-ins and follow-ups to assess progress. By avoiding the off-putting language often associated with the D&I space and focusing on the positive benefit to corporate culture, Kiltered empowers businesses to actively engage their teams in the creation of inclusive spaces.
Always excited by individuals and organisations living their mission to make a meaningful impact, we were particularly enthused by Morag’s vision for a new approach to D&I. We’re working with her to help share the opportunities Kiltered offers to businesses eager to embrace the benefits of positive change, especially if they’re not sure where to start.
