Working across housing, exhibitions and public space, Bushra Mohamed is an architect and researcher striving for equity in the built environment. Through Msoma Architects, founded in 2022, she advocates for diasporic perspectives, champions lived experience and builds beautifully inclusive spaces.
Where too many in the industry take the same cultural values and references as default, Bushra’s vision of architecture is expansive and ambitious – revealing historically marginalised narratives, tackling intertwined histories of migration and championing multigenerational and intergenerational living. She was named a RIBAJ Rising Star in 2020, has been published by the AA Files, the Architectural Review and Sound Advice. This year she has led the exhibition design for Design Museum’s residency project ‘Islands’ and has co-curated the V&A’s Venice pavilion ‘Tropical Modernism’.
WHAT WE DID FOR Msoma Architects
Moved by Bushra’s polyphonic vision of contemporary living and the city, Zetteler is on hand to provide communications guidance, expand her network, help further the reach of Msoma Architects and promote her transformative projects.
