An unmissable annual symposium from a world-leading museum, the Make Good Symposium is a major platform for the V&A to investigate the use of natural, renewable materials in design and architecture.
Part of a wider curatorial programme that includes an annual display set in the Museum, and an ongoing effort to acquire new pieces for the permanent collection, the symposium fosters new ways of thinking about society and our relationship with nature with a notably multidisciplinary approach.
With the generous sponsorship of John Makepeace OBE, its fourth annual edition in 2025 was rooted in Material Cultures’ research, bringing together a roster of designers, architects, foresters, makers and thinkers for an afternoon of talks examining ways we can cultivate, use and regenerate our woodland and natural resources.
WHAT WE DO FOR V&A’s Make Good Symposium
As close allies of Material Cultures with a growing relationship with the V&A, Zetteler helped promote the event, encouraging our wide network of designers, architects and creative sector professionals to attend.
