London Design Fair 2018

A highlight of the UK design calendar, London Design Fair is an international trade show located in the Old Truman Brewery in east London. In 2018 there were more than 500 exhibitors from 39 countries, and an incredible 25,000 visitors. ‘The energy was electric!’ says director and founder Jimmy MacDonald, who has just been named on of Evening Standard’s 1000 most influential people 2018. ‘We are designers that set up the show so we’re interested in the creators, not the brand, I think that really separates it from shows both in London and internationally,’ adds Jimmy. As part of a series of three films made for London Design Fair, we sat down with Jimmy to discuss how the team pull off this annual cornucopia of creativity and stay relevant.
