Designer Milan Kosovic spent his childhood in Yugoslavia before moving to Sweden at the age of 13. It is this experience, together with his diverse heritage, that leads him to describe himself as “always outside of the box”. This distinct character trait is evident in his design approach. “I still want to believe that mixing everything is the best thing that you can do,” he says, “that’s when people develop cultures and even desires.”

This film is one in a series of six commissioned by Swedish Design Moves. The project saw Zetteler Films travel to Malmö to document some of the people and practices exhibiting as part of the Swedish Design Pavilion at the 2017 London Design Fair. Filmed in the designers’ everyday surrounds, each film captures the raw human emotions, beliefs and inspiration driving each practice.
