It’s time, people! The 13th edition of Norway’s headline design show is open, ready and waiting to wow. For the last few months, curator Max Fraser has been busy planning the programme, selecting the designers and meditating on the nature of contemporary Norwegian design; set designers Hunting & Narud have been conceiving and building the set; the 17 designers and studios taking part have been finalising their products and prototypes and a small army of Norwegians at the embassy and at DOGA have been hard at work behind the scenes to make it all happen.
Meanwhile, we at Zetteler have had the comparatively easy job of telling everyone how great it will be. Which – when you’ve got pieces like Kim Thomé’s playful Dong series of bowls and vases, Andreas Engesvik’s welded-steel IDA chairs, fantastic new tables to unveil from Anderssen & Voll, alongside a trove of other fascinating pieces from the very best designers in Norway – is far from the most demanding of tasks.
100% Norway runs from today (22nd) until Sunday (25th) at the London Design Fair in the Old Truman Brewery, off Brick Lane. We’ve snuck a camera into the exhibition to get a sneak preview of the goodies on offer, so take a look at the pictures below, watch the film here, and get yourself along.
