Charlotte Frances London launches new scarves and joins Clerkenwell London
– by Milly Burroughs
It’s been a busy month for the founders of textile brand Charlotte Frances London. Following the success of their gorgeous fabrics, vibrant cushions and hypnotically beautiful wallpaper designs, Charlotte and Camilla have launched a collection a luxurious silk scarves.
Designed and made in the UK, the range of four scarves features popular prints from the brand that are also available as coordinating accessories.
Pampas | A reflection of the design duo’s adventures in the Bolivian jungle, Pampas is a flamboyant, tropical print that is perfect for lovers of outlandish outfit accents and giving other partygoers something to talk about. Framed by the elegant London Fields design, Pampas was hand-sketched in Charlotte and Camilla’s London studio, then digitally printed onto high-quality silk.
Sydney | Another design inspired by travel, Sydney is an explosion of blue hues reminiscent of a New Year’s Eve spent watching the fireworks cascade over the city’s famous harbour. The cool colours of the central print are complemented by the golden tones of the bordering Angus design.
Tulum | Derived from a photograph taken during a holiday on the Caribbean coast of Mexico, Tulum is an exotic riot of colour and flora that will appeal to the most adventurous print connoisseur. Juxtaposing the intensity of Tulum, the border of the scarf features the calm elegance of the Brittany design.
Wanchai | Channelling the abundance of flower stalls that frequent the roads of Hong Kong’s Wanchai neighbourhood, this print is an ode to the alluring combination of fresh greens and petal pinks that nature offers up when given the freedom to grow.
Not content with expanding their stunning collection of products, Chartotte Frances London has also expanded its sales network. Joining a plethora of incredible designers and makers, many of Charlotte and Camilla’s designs are now available from Clerkenwell London, whose Design Undefined exhibition is a must see during Clerkenwell Design Week later this month.
