From AnOther Magazine’s inclusion of Sara Wright Polmar’s Between in its trend highlights, to The New York Times naming Bjørn van den Berg and Falke Svatun in the 15 most exciting new designers at Salone, Milan saw the world’s design press fall in love with Norway’s Structure at its Ventura Lambrate exhibition space.
Having invited creatives involved to respond to the themes of ‘structure’ or ‘trace’, the show (brainchild of Klubben, Norwegian Crafts and Jotun) took to a beautifully sun-drenched Milan to showcase the very best of young Norwegian design talent from 12-17 April 2016. Perhaps partly thanks to its inclusion in Dezeen’s list of “10 unmissable exhibition and installations” the exhibition was a huge success and saw an incredible number of design tourists make it one of their must-see stops.
Procuring press coverage from around the globe, Structure received overwhelmingly positive feedback from numerous industry publications including Disegno, Curbed, Wallpaper*, Core77, Corrierre della Serra, and many more.
Katie Treggiden describes Structure as, “Stealing the show at Ventura Lambrate.” in her Milan Design Week post for Design Milk.
High quality materials, intelligent concepts and creative intuition came together seamlessly in this showcase of fresh Norwegian design talent, and under the curatorial eye of Norwegian Crafts’ Hege Henrikson it is no surprise that the exhibition was so positively received.
