Supporting recovering addicts, Restoration Station (run as part of Spitalfields Crypt Trust) teaches people valuable skills as they restore furniture to be sold through the shop-front of the business. Social enterprises like Restoration Station rely on the hard work of volunteers to keep them going. We are thrilled to announce that thanks to a team of new volunteers, including team Zetteler, the shop can now open every Sunday moving forward.
Open Thursdays 12.30pm — 8pm, Fridays 9.30am — 5pm, and now Sundays 10.30am — 2.30pm too, make sure you head to the heart of Shoreditch (right next to Ace Hotel) to find your next piece of beautiful furniture, all restored by the hands of the Restoration Station volunteers who work there as part of their recovery programme. Worried about carrying your new sideboard home? Don’t be, there’s a delivery service available.
We are constantly moved by the commitment of the Restoration Station team and the amazing work they do, and we were thrilled to be able to help them open for an extra day a week by volunteering to man the shop. The best part? Anyone can help! With more volunteers the shop can open on more days each week, and this incredible social enterprise can help more people than ever. If you’re interested in volunteering please send an e-mail to Katie Logue at katie@zetteler.co.uk.
Restoration Station works best when it is commissioned for bespoke projects. In the past it has worked on hospitality furniture and a range of one-off pieces. Think you’ve got a project to discuss? Get in touch at info@restorationstation.org.uk.
