Alex Booker of The Booker Print House is of course an incredibly talented artist with a fascinating vision, but we don’t think he’d mind if we pointed out when it comes to getting a website together, he’s really been dragging his heels.
Now, at long last, the Booker Print House site has launched its shop, making Alex’s beautifully evocative woodblock prints available to buy online. About bloody time.
(In case you missed it, not long ago, Alex shared some of the ideas behind his work here on the Zetteler blog and Zetteler & Dunn swung by the Booker Print House studio in Limehouse to watch him at work and chat through the whats, whys and hows of his art. The film below shows the intricacies of his process and answer the question he gets asked most often: ‘What’s with the shipwreck thing?’)
There are 50 works in the online store now, ranging from his much-lauded shipwreck series to his nautical flags and Highland landscapes. Prices range from £35 to £180, but if you just want a little bit of Booker, several of his designs are available as greetings cards, for just £2.85 a pop.
We’ve picked out a few of our favourites here – all of which are available to order now, and they could be on your wall within the week…
